Getting ready for Toy Fair ‘09 in New York and some new friends!

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Dana and I are getting ready for Toy Fair ‘09 in New York City. The show is Feb. 15-18 but we’ll probably come in on Friday the 13th (I know..leave me alone) so we can have everything set-up early on Feb. 14th. THAT way, we’ll have Valentine’s Day by ourselves in New York.  Really looking forward to the trip.

Toy Fair is where we get to tell TONS of people about theCRICKETtoy™ and tell them why it’s a good idea to have theCRICKETtoy™ in their stores.

     1. People will laugh = Happy Customers

     2. Happy Customers = Returning Customers AND telling their friends where they got theCRICKETtoy™!

     3. theCRICKETtoy™ is profitable for the stores.

     4. 2009 is The Year of the Cricket!

It’s becoming a cultural phenomenon and who doesn’t want to be a part of something that is the next Pet Rock. But unlike a Pet Rock, theCRICKET™ toy can be used on a daily basis. There are TONS of awkward moments that happen in people’s lives everyday (for me, it’s every couple hours..some issues there).

I’ve also sent out a few of theCRICKETtoy™s to some people I’m a big fan of. (You know who you are). Use them in your show. Use them in public. Use them when reporters ask REALLY DUMB questions!. Just say “That was awkward!” Chirp them and move on!

Here’s what the retail version looks like and a picture of Richard Simmons.
